New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri was suspended four games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Edmonton's Matt Fraser.
Kadri was assessed a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head in the third period of Monday's game. He was suspended because he is considered a repeat offender.
The 24-year-old Ontario native will forfeit $141,463.40, which will go to the Players' Emergency Fund.
