Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby was scratched from the lineup just before Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.

Crosby took part in the pregame warmup, but was not on the bench at the start of the contest.

There was no reason given by the Penguins for the late decision, but a press release stated Crosby "determined that he could not play."

Craig Adams replaced Crosby in the lineup.
