Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has agreed to a contract extension.

Details of Roethlisberger's new deal have yet to be disclosed. The two-time Super Bowl champion signal-caller is scheduled to meet with media at the Steelers' team headquarters at 5 p.m. ET.

Roethlisberger, who led the NFL with a career-high 4,952 passing yards in 2014, was entering the final season of a six-year deal he signed in 2008.
