St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Rams continued their busy week on Friday, signing defensive lineman Nick Fairley to an undisclosed contract.

Fairley spent the first four seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions, appearing in 46 of a possible 64 games and recording 13 1/2 sacks and 98 combined tackles.

His best season came in 2013 when he appeared in 15 games and recorded six sacks and 35 tackles. Last year, he played in just eight games and had one sack.

The Rams traded for quarterback Nick Foles earlier this week and signed linebacker Akeem Ayers on Thursday.
