Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Fresh off capturing its first MAC regular- season title in 20 years, Ohio signed head women's basketball coach Bob Boldon to a five-year contract extension through 2020 on Wednesday.
The Bobcats have undergone a striking turnaround in Boldon's second year as head coach, compiling a 25-4 record (16-2 MAC) after posting only nine wins in 2013-14.
"Our success is truly a team effort of talented student-athletes, an outstanding coaching staff, administration and loyal fans," said Boldon, the 2015 MAC Coach of the Year. "I am excited about the future."
Ohio plays in the semifinals of the MAC Tournament on Friday.
