(SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks will complete their short homestand Wednesday night when the lowly Orlando Magic pay a visit to the Bradley Center.
The Bucks are 1-1 on the stay with a victory over the Washington Wizards then a 114-103 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.
Anthony Davis matched a career-high with 43 points and also had 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks to lead the Pelicans.
"Anthony played great," Milwaukee guard Michael Carter-Williams said. "He's an All-Star and he showed that tonight. The next time we play him we have to do a better job on him if we want to win."
Giannis Antetokounmpo ended with a career-best 29 points, three blocks and three steals for the Bucks, who have dropped seven of nine. Carter- Williams tallied 25 points and seven assists.
Khris Middleton chipped in 17 points and no other Bucks player scored in double figures. Milwaukee shot 52.1 percent from the floor, but allowed the Pelicans to shoot 58.7 percent and 60 percent from beyond the arc.
Milwaukee took a 101-100 lead with 3:36 remaining on a jumper by Antetokounmpo. But Davis scored eight straight points as New Orleans closed the game on a 14-2 run.
The Bucks begin a three-game road trip Thursday against the red-hot Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans.
The Magic became the most recent victims of the Pacers on Tuesday at Banker's Life Fieldhouse. Indiana prevailed, 118-86, as Orlando started its three-game road trip poorly.
Tobias Harris provided 22 points and six rebounds for Orlando, which has dropped five of its last seven contests. Elfrid Payton scored 14, followed by 13 apiece from Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo.
"There were too many times where guys were going right past us," Harris said.
The Pacers shot 52.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from long range.
Indiana, which trailed 28-26 following a quarter of play, led 59-47 at the break. They were up 86-70 after three and led by as many as 34 in the final frame.
Willie Green left the Pacers game with back spasms and Evan Fournier sat with a sore right hip. Both are listed as questionable for Wednesday night's contest.
The Magic have dropped eight in a row on the road and will visit Boston on Friday to end this trek.
These teams split two meetings this season, both in Orlando. The two will meet again in Milwaukee on April 4 and the Bucks have won four straight as the host in this series.
