Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Ted Ginn to a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ginn played for the Panthers in 2013 and will return to Charlotte after spending the 2014 campaign in Arizona. He was released by the Cardinals last month.

"I'm back Bank of America," Ginn said on Instagram with a photo of him signing his contract.

Ginn had 36 catches for 556 yards with a career-high five touchdowns as a receiver with Carolina in 2013 and set a team record with a 12.2-yard punt return average.

In 16 games for the Cardinals last season, he had just 14 catches for 190 yards while adding 10.7 yards with a score on 26 punt returns and a 19.0-yard average on 22 kickoff returns.

The 29-year-old Ohio State product, who was selected ninth overall by Miami in 2007, has compiled 211 catches for 2,794 yards and 11 touchdowns and seven return scores in 120 career games with the Dolphins, 49ers, Panthers and Cardinals.
