Elias Lindholm had three goals and two assists, Jeff Skinner scored twice and Carolina rallied from three goals down to beat the Edmonton Oilers 7-4 on Sunday.
Lindholm's hat trick was the first of his career, and Alexander Semin and Andrej Nestrasi also scored for Carolina, who last erased a three-goal deficit exactly one year ago in a 5-4 loss at the New York Islanders.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had his second career hat trick to increase his scoring total to 19 goals for Edmonton. Jordan Eberle added a goal and two assists for the Oilers.
After falling behind 3-0, the Hurricanes tied it with three goals in the final 11 minutes of the second period as Semin got the scoring started for Carolina. The Hurricanes then scored the next five goals to snap a two-game losing streak.
Carolina went 3 for 5 on the power play but was only 1 of 3 on the penalty kill. It marked only the second time this season the Hurricanes allowed more than one power-play goal.
Carolina outshot Edmonton 35-20.
