Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - AC Milan conceded a late equalizer to drop two points in a 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.
Luca Toni had given the visitors the lead by converting a penalty kick in the 18th minute, but Jeremy Menez answered from the spot just four minutes before the break.
The hosts wasted little time in getting in front upon the restart, but they needed a bit of fortune as an own goal from Panagiotis Tachtsidis in the 47th minute gave Milan the lead.
It looked as if Milan would close out the match with the win intact, but Nicolas Lopez struck on the stroke of full time to earn Verona a share of the spoils.
The result sees Milan stay in 10th place in the Serie A table with 35 points. Hellas Verona climbs to 13th place with 29 points.
Sampdoria, meanwhile, went level with Fiorentina on 42 points apiece after cruising to a 2-0 home defeat of Cagliari.
Lorenzo De Silvestri opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Samuel Eto'o wrapped up the win in the 72nd with his first goal for the Italian club. Danilo Fernando Avelar picked up a late red card to leave Cagliari with no way back.
