Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Cowboys re-signed offensive tackle Doug Free to a three-year contract on Saturday, according to the team's website.

Free, 31, was the veteran leader for one of the most improved offensive lines in the league last season. He has started 82 of the 92 games he has appeared in since the Cowboys selected him in the fourth round of the 2007 draft out of Northern Illinois.

ESPN.com reported the deal is worth $15 million, with $6 million guaranteed.
