Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - The Portland Trail Blazers announced after Thursday's 94-75 win over the Dallas Mavericks that shooting guard Wesley Matthews will miss the remainder of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Matthews left the game early in the third quarter and did not return. He fell to the floor when he cut with the ball and he limped off the court with assistance from team personnel. An MRI exam after the game revealed the ruptured tendon.

The six-year veteran averaged 16.1 points with 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 59 starts this season entering play on Thursday.
