Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Portland State and new coach Bruce Barnum will face two FBS opponents and five teams at home as part of an 11-game 2015 schedule announced on Thursday.
Barnum, the team's offensive coordinator over the past five seasons, was given a one-year contract in December to guide the Vikings, who finished 3-9 last year.
The Vikings will open the season at Washington State on Sept. 5 and visit a second FBS member, North Texas, on Oct. 10.
In the home schedule, the Vikings will play four times at Providence Park and once at Hillsboro Stadium, due to a scheduling conflict with the Portland Timbers of MLS.
The game at Hillsboro Stadium is a Big Sky Conference game against North Dakota on Oct. 3. The Providence Park games are against Division II Western Oregon (Sept. 26) and Big Sky opponents Montana State (Oct. 17), Montana (Oct. 31) and Southern Utah (Nov. 14).
