Pelicans sign Elliot Williams to 10-day contract

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans signed guard Elliot Williams to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

Williams was averaging 21.8 points, 7.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 25 games for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League.

A first-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers in 2010, Williams averaged 3.6 points in five games for the Utah Jazz earlier this season.
