Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Cowboys signed veteran linebacker Keith Rivers to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Rivers was cut by the Buffalo Bills last month after signing a two-year deal worth $5 million with the club in 2014. He made just three starts and recorded 16 tackles over 12 games last season.

The former Cincinnati first-round pick has started 50 times over six seasons with the Bengals, Giants and Bills. Rivers has compiled 291 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions for his career.
