(SportsNetwork.com) - The Kansas City Chiefs will reportedly use their franchise designation on NFL sack leader Justin Houston.

According to both ESPN and NFL.com, the Chiefs will place the tag on the pass rushing linebacker at a cost of about $14 million for the 2015 season.

Houston led the NFL with 22 sacks last season, just a half-sack shy of the league record set by Michael Strahan.

In four seasons since being selected with a third-round pick in the 2011 draft, the 26-year-old Georgia product has 48 1/2 sacks in 59 games.
