Desharnais nets 2 goals, Price earns shutout in Canadiens' 4-0 win over Maple Leafs

Manny Malhotra scored his first goal with the Canadiens, Carey Price made 30 saves for his sixth shutout of the season, and Montreal beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-0 on Saturday night.

David Desharnais had two goals, and Tomas Plekanec also scored for Montreal (41-16-5), which has won four in a row and 14 of 19.

The Maple Leafs (25-32-5) had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Price, the NHL leader in save percentage and goals-against average, earned his 31st career shutout. Toronto outshot the Canadiens 30-23.

Malhotra scored his in his 53rd game with Montreal at 5:00 of the first period when he took a drop pass from Dale Weise and beat Jonathan Bernier from close range.
