Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday acquired forward Daniel Winnik from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Zach Sill, a 2015 fourth-round draft pick and a 2016 second-round draft pick.

Winnik has seven goals and 25 points in 58 games with Toronto this season. He led the team with a plus-15, which will also place first among Pittsburgh forwards and second overall on the club.

An eight-year veteran, Winnik has 56 goals and 175 points in 548 games with the Coyotes, Avalanche, Sharks, Ducks and Maple Leafs. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Sill has one goal and three points in 42 games with Pittsburgh this season. The 26-year-old has appeared in 62 NHL regular-season games, all with the Penguins.
