Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Kyle Clifford to a five-year contract extension.
Clifford's deal is reportedly worth $8 million, for an annual average of $1.6 million per year.
The 24-year-old Clifford has appeared in 333 NHL regular-season games, all with the Kings, totaling 25 goals and 33 assists for 58 points. He has three goals and seven assists to go along with a team-leading 66 penalty minutes in 57 games this season.
Clifford was selected by Los Angeles in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and was a member of the Kings' Stanley Cup championship teams in 2012 and 2014.
