Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane left Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Florida Panthers with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Kane fell awkwardly into the boards after being cross-checked by Florida defenseman Alex Petrovic midway through the first period. He got up under his own power, but skated straight to the dressing room.

"He might miss some time but we'll know the extent of it tomorrow," Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville said after the game.

The 26-year-old entered the game tied with Washington's Nicklas Backstrom for the league-lead in points with 64.
