Deventer, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - AZ Alkmaar jumped into third place in the Eredivisie table on Saturday after getting goals from Simon Poulsen and Robert Muehren in a 2-0 win at Go Ahead Eagles.
AZ entered the fixture level on 41 points with Feyenoord and Poulsen fired the visitors in front in the 32nd minute, while Muehren added a second goal in the 57th to help AZ ease over the line.
The win is the fourth in the last five league matches for AZ, while Go Ahead Eagles lost for the third time in five fixtures, leaving the club two points above the bottom three.
Den Haag rescued a 3-2 home win over Zwolle in dramatic fashion as Michiel Kramer scored deep into stoppage time for Den Haag to separate the sides.
The hosts took a 2-0 lead in the opening 60 minutes through goals from Roland Alberg and Wilson Eduardo, only for Zwolle to rally and level the contest in the 90th minute with answers from Ben Rienstra and Mustafa Saymak.
However, Kramer's goal handed Den Haag three valuable points, moving the club six points clear of the relegation zone.
Saturday's other contest saw Heracles and Utrecht battle to a 1-1 draw as the two teams traded goals four minutes apart in the second half.
