Fairfield, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - The Sacred Heart football program's bid for a third straight Northeast Conference title will be bolstered by the return of wide receiver Tyler Dube this year.
The two-time All-NEC first-team selection is scheduled to graduate in May, but he plans to utilize his final season of eligibility as a graduate student. He was redshirted in his first year on campus in 2011.
Dube caught a program-record 16 touchdowns last season, tying for the second- most in the FCS, while Sacred Heart advanced to the FCS playoffs for the second consecutive season. He totaled 79 receptions for 960 yards, also career highs.
In 35 career games, the 6-foot, 170-pounder has 153 receptions for 2,046 yards and 27 touchdowns.
Sacred Heart finished with a 9-3 record and a No. 24 national ranking last season.
