Delray Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Third-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov was an easy second-round winner Thursday at the Delray Beach Open.

Dolgopolov handled American Tim Smyczek 6-2, 6-4 on the hardcourts at Delray Beach Tennis Center and will face another American in the quarterfinals.

Donald Young eased into the round of eight by clipping Alejandro Gonzalez 6-3, 6-2, setting up a meeting with Dolgopolov. The 25-year-old Young is fresh off his run into the semifinals in Memphis last week.

Also Thursday, Bernard Tomic knocked off eighth-seeded Viktor Troicki 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-4. He will face Yoshihito Nishioka, who defeated Marinko Matosevic 6-1, 6-3.

The 2015 Delray champion will earn $84,250.
