Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Jakob Poeltl had 18 points and eight rebounds as the 11th-ranked Utah Utes rolled to another home victory, topping California 76-61 on Sunday.
Delon Wright added 16 points, five assists and three steals for the Utes (20-4, 10-2 Pac-12), who have won 17 in a row at home dating back to last season. Brandon Taylor made four 3-pointers en route to 13 points.
Tyrone Wallace ended with 26 points and seven boards for the Golden Bears (16-10, 6-7), who had a five-game winning streak snapped. Jabari Bird contributed 21 points.
Trailing 32-26, Utah went on a 20-2 run that bridged the first and second halves. Brekkott Chapman tallied six points during the surge to help make it a 46-34 contest.
California finally got on the board in the second half when David Kravish made a jumper with 13:28 to play. The Golden Bears, though, never got closer than nine the rest of the way.
