Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Honolulu police have made an arrest in relation to Robert Allenby's stolen credits cards, according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser.
Owen P. Harbison, 32, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with three counts of identity theft and second-degree theft and one count of unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
Harbison remained in jail and was being held on $100,000 bail. He is scheduled for his first court appearance next week, a police spokesman told the paper.
Allenby, a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, had told police that he had been kidnapped from a bar in Honolulu, beaten and robbed of his credit cards and $800. He said there was a window, from 11:06 p.m. to 1:27 a.m., that he has no memory of.
Much of what Allenby told police had been relayed to him by people that found him on the street after his apparent kidnapping.
According to the Star Advertiser, Harbison had charged less than $20,000 on three of Allenby's credit cards.
