Murray, Raonic, Berdych, Wawrinka reach Rotterdam QFs

Rotterdam, The Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - Top seeds Andy Murray, reigning titlist Tomas Berdych, Milos Raonic and Stan Wawrinka all secured spots in the quarterfinals at the $1.825 million ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament.

The 2009 Rotterdam winner Murray handled Canadian Vasek Pospisil 6-3, 7-5, while the second-seeded Raonic doused Italian Simone Bolelli 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).

Murray won the final four games of the match to hold off the 24-year-old Pospisil.

"My level was good. I moved well and I felt like when I really needed to, I was able to improve my level and step my game up a bit," said Murray. "I found a little bit of extra intensity in the important moments and that was key."

Last month's Aussie Open runner-up Murray's quarterfinal opponent on Friday will be eighth-seeded Frenchman Gilles Simon, who took care of fellow countryman Jeremy Chardy 6-4, 6-3.

Meanwhile, the third-seeded Berdych held off last week's Zagreb runner-up Andreas Seppi 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 and the fourth-seeded 2014 Australian Open champ Wawrinka overcame Spaniard and last week's Zagreb titlist Guillermo Garcia- Lopez 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-2 at Ahoy Rotterdam.

Berdych beat reigning U.S. Open champ Marin Cilic in last year's Rotterdam finale. His quarterfinal opponent will be Frenchman Gael Monfils.

The other quarters will pit Raonic against Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky and Wawrinka versus Luxembourg's Gilles Muller.

The 2015 Rotterdam champ will earn $405,000.
