Charlottesville, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The third-ranked Virginia Cavaliers will be without second-leading scorer Justin Anderson for the next 4-to-6 weeks due to a fractured finger on his left hand.

The standout guard was hurt in the first half of Saturday night's 52-47 win over No. 9 Louisville. He will have surgery Sunday.

Anderson is averaging 13.4 points per game for the Cavaliers, who play at NC State on Wednesday. Virginia is 21-1 overall, including 9-1 in the ACC. The only loss so far this season was at home to Duke on Jan. 31.

The timeframe for Anderson's return is likely to keep him out the rest of the regular season, and he may miss the start of the NCAA Tournament, but that depends on his recovery time.
