Tampa Bay, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired forwards Carter Ashton and David Broll from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.

Ashton, 23, has no goals and three assists in 54 career games, all with Toronto. He was picked in the first round by Tampa Bay in the 2009 NHL Draft before a 2012 trade sent him to the Leafs.

In 12 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, Ashton has four goals and four assists.

The 22-year-old Broll had no goals and an assist in five games with Toronto in the 2013-14 season. He had no points in 21 games with the Marlies this season.

Toronto's potential pick will be in the 2016 draft.
