Andreas Seppi rallied to defeat Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6) on Friday to reach the semifinals of the Zagreb Indoors.
The fifth-seeded Italian, who upset Roger Federer in the third round of the Australian Open, served for the match at 6-5, but won only one point. Berankis led the tie break 4-1, but Seppi responded by winning five points in a row. He converted his third match point.
Third-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain also made it to the semifinals, beating Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-1, 6-7 (5), 7-5. Garcia-Lopez opened well, quickly building a 4-1 lead and cruising through the first set.
Garcia-Lopez also led the second set 4-1 before Troicki rallied to tie the match. Troicki fought hard in the third set, but was broken at 5-6.
