Durham, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Quinn Cook totaled 17 points as No. 4 Duke fended off Georgia Tech by a 72-66 count on Wednesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Justise Winslow added 15 points and 10 rebounds with Jahlil Okafor adding 14 points for the Blue Devils (19-3, 6-3 ACC), who will host Notre Dame this Saturday.

The victory gave head coach Mike Krzyzewski the all-time conference record for wins at 423.

"That's a huge win, and now you've got to do it again," Krzyzewski said. "I didn't think we were emotionally at the level we needed to be, no matter what we did. Not that our kids weren't ready to play, but we could not get that level of emotion."

Chris Bolden produced 16 points and Marcus Georges-Hunt picked up 14 and nine boards for the Yellow Jackets (10-12, 1-9), losers in nine of their last 10.

Duke never relinquished its lead in the second half, but Georgia Tech remained close, closing within a point on four separate occasions, the last time on a Georges-Hunt triple with 7:57 to play which made it 57-56.

But the hosts had a fourth answer, coming on a Cook layup just over a minute later after Georges-Hunt missed a potential go-ahead shot. Cook added another bucket on Duke's next trip down the floor before a Winslow steal and successful shot gave the Blue Devils a 63-56 lead with 6:10 remaining.

The Yellow Jackets never seriously threatened from there, closing only within four. Cook sealed the outcome by going 4-for-4 from the line in the final minute.

"We've played pretty darned good," Georgia Tech head coach Brian Gregory said about his team, which suffered its eighth single-digit loss in conference play. "We probably deserve a few more wins, and we haven't gotten them. That's what this league is all about right now."

Tech led 9-4 in the early stages, then were ahead 16-15 on an Amile Jefferson layup before an 18-7 burst helped Duck surge ahead. Winslow hit two straight shots and Okafor ended the run with a free throw for a 33-23 contest.

Georges-Hunt and Robert Sampson connected on consecutive shots and the visitors closed their halftime gap to 38-34.
