Hartford, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Geno Auriemma earned his 900th win against a former pupil.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 16 points, Breanna Stewart added 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks and No. 2 Connecticut routed Cincinnati 96-36 to help Auriemma reach the milestone.
Auriemma is still 198 wins away from reaching former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt for the most victories in women's college basketball history. Summitt won 1,098 games while in Knoxville from 1974-2012.
Auriemma, though, does own the greatest winning percentage in women's college basketball at 87 percent (900-134).
Jamelle Elliott, who has spent the last six years as the head coach at Cincinnati, was a key member of UConn's undefeated NCAA National Championship team in 1995.
Gabby Williams posted 18 points and 14 boards off the bench for the Huskies (21-1, 11-0 AAC), who have won 20 straight games.
Jasmine Whitfield netted 14 points to lead the Bearcats (6-16, 3-8).
UConn overwhelmed Cincinnati over the first 20 minutes, building a 47-15 advantage at the break, then cruised to the easy win in the second half.
The Huskies shot 51.4 percent (37-of-72) from the floor and held the Bearcats to just 24.6 percent (14-of-57) from the field. UConn outrebounded Cincy 50-28 as well.
