Wolfsburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Wolfsburg have completed the signing of former Chelsea attacker and World Cup winner Andre Schurrle, the Bundesliga side confirmed on Monday.

Schurrle leaves Stamford Bridge to sign a new four-and-a-half year deal with Wolfsburg after having been linked with a return to Germany as he has struggled to maintain a consistent place in Jose Mourinho's team.

Schurrle, 22, has made 22 appearances for the Blues this season, scoring five goals, but he has played a full 90 minutes for Chelsea just once.

Second-place Wolfsburg have impressed in the Bundesliga this term, emphasized by their 4-1 victory over runaway leaders Bayern Munich on Friday.
