Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Dallas Mavericks guard Rajon Rondo is sidelined indefinitely with facial fractures he suffered in Saturday's game against Orlando.

Rondo was hurt early in the first quarter after a collision with teammate Richard Jefferson. Jefferson's knee hit the face of Rondo, whose head then struck the floor.

The Mavericks updated Rondo's status Monday, saying he has an orbital fracture to the left eye and a nasal fracture. He will be further evaluated during the week, but will sit out at least the next three games.

Rondo will miss Monday's game against Minnesota and won't travel to California for games Wednesday at Golden State and Thursday at Sacramento.

Since joining the Mavericks in a December trade with Boston, Rondo has averaged 9.2 points, 6.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 21 games.
