Porto, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Porto maintained its hold on second place in the Primeira Liga by thrashing Pacos Ferreira, 5-0, behind two goals from Ricardo Quaresma.

Jackson Martinez tallied his league-leading 15th goal of the campaign in the 29th minute to open the scoring, while Quaresma scored twice in the final five minutes of the first half.

Hector Herrera added a fourth goal shortly after the break, and Cristian Tello capped the scoring seven minutes from time after Pacos was reduced to 10 men thanks to an 81st-minute red card for Romeu Rocha.

The win keeps Porto one point clear of third-place Sporting Lisbon, while leaders Benfica remain six points better than Porto.

Martinez got things started in impressive fashion as he got on the other end of a cross from Alex Sandro to volley the ball past onrushing goalkeeper Rafael Defendi.

Quaresma netted the first of his two goals from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, but his second effort four minutes later was a wonderful individual effort as he cut inside from the right and curled a shot off the far post and into the net.

Martinez turned provider for Herrera's goal shortly after halftime, and Tello scored on a well-taken free kick to finish off the contest.
