Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Alessandro Matri has secured a return to Juventus after joining the Turin side on loan from AC Milan for the remainder of the campaign.

Matri spent the first half of this season on loan at Genoa, where he totaled seven goals and five assists in 16 Serie A matches.

And now the 30-year-old will return to Juve to provide cover for the club after it was announced that forward Sebastian Giovinco will join Toronto FC prior to the start of the Major League Soccer season in March.

Matri moved to AC Milan in the summer of 2013 from Juve, but he has endured a difficult time with the Rossoneri and has been sent out on loan to Fiorentina and Genoa.
