Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - AC Milan is hoping to bring a poor run of results to an end on Sunday when the Rossoneri hosts last-place Parma.
Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has come under some considerable pressure in recent weeks as his team's winless streak in Serie A has reached five matches, dropping the club to 11th in the league table.
The Rossoneri enters the weekend 10 points adrift of a Champions League place, and is in danger of missing out on a spot in Europe altogether for a second straight season.
With just three goals during that five-game winless streak, Milan must find a way to get better production offensively. And the team took a step toward helping its sputtering attack on Friday with the addition of striker Mattia Destro from Roma on loan.
After finishing in sixth place in Serie A last term, Parma has tumbled to the bottom of the league and sits 10 points from safety after losing four its last five Serie A encounters.
Inter Milan is also struggling this term and sits above AC Milan on goal difference after having a five-match unbeaten streak snapped last weekend with a 1-0 home defeat to Torino.
Sassuolo will host Inter on Sunday with the two sides separated by only one point, but Inter will have confidence heading into the game having scored seven goals against Sassuolo in two of the last three meetings between the teams.
Juventus aims to maintain its seven-point lead atop Serie A when the club travels to Udinese, while second-place Roma attempts to snap a string of three straight draws with three points at home against Empoli, which sits one point above the relegation places.
Genoa hosts Fiorentina in a battle of teams in contention for European places, Cagliari squares off with Atalanta as both sides continue to battle relegation, Lazio visits second-from-the-bottom Cesena, third-place Napoli invades struggling Chievo, Hellas Verona faces Palermo and Torino plays host to Sampdoria.
