Cheney, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Many people at Eastern Washington are waiting to see if star quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. will be returning for his senior season.
The Eagles appear to need him to navigate their difficult 2015 schedule.
As Eastern Washington seeks to win a fourth straight Big Sky Conference title, it will face an 11-game schedule that includes eight opponents which finished the 2014 season with winning records. Five of their first seven games will be on the road.
Coach Beau Baldwin's squad will kick off the season on Sept. 5 at Oregon, which reached the inaugural College Football Playoff championship game earlier this month. Adams will be visiting Oregon's campus this weekend while he considers a transfer there for his senior season.
Other highlights on Eastern Washington's schedule are non-conference games at Northern Iowa on Sept. 12 and at home against Montana State on Sept. 19. Within the Big Sky schedule, the Eagles have a home game against Cal Poly (Oct. 10) and difficult road games at Idaho State (Oct. 17) and Montana (Nov. 14).
Eastern Washington finished with an 11-3 record and No. 4 national ranking this past season.
