Lake Charles, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - A season-opening visit to LSU and five home games are part of McNeese State football's 11-game 2015 schedule announced on Wednesday.

The Cowboys will visit LSU on Sept. 5 for just the second meeting between the two programs. LSU won 32-10 in the first meeting in 2010.

McNeese State will host Southland Conference opponents Incarnate Word (Sept. 12), Southeastern Louisiana (Oct. 10), Northwestern State (Oct. 24, Homecoming) and Sam Houston State (Nov. 7) at Cowboys Stadium. In addition, the Cowboys will host Mississippi College (Sept. 26) in non-conference action.

The Cowboys finished 6-5 this past season. Coach Matt Viator, who enters his 10th season, is the only FCS coach to post a winning record every year in his career with a minimum of nine seasons coached.
