Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will play in Wednesday's game against the Washington Capitals, the team announced on its Twitter account.
The reigning Hart Trophy recipient sat out the Penguins' 5-3 home win over Winnipeg on Tuesday due to a lower-body injury that also prevented him from participating in Sunday's NHL All-Star Game.
Crosby enters Wednesday's matchup tied for second in the league with 36 assists, while his 51 points through 43 games are tied for fourth overall.
