New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - South Carolina remained the top-ranked team in the latest Associated Press women's college basketball poll.

The Gamecocks are the No. 1 team for a 10th straight week, receiving 27 first- place votes and a total of 867 points from a nationwide media panel.

South Carolina is again followed by Connecticut and Baylor. The Huskies picked up the remaining eight first-place votes.

Notre Dame, Maryland, Tennessee, Oregon State, Louisville, Florida State and Kentucky completed this week's top 10. Louisville fell four spots from fourth after a loss to Florida State.

The second 10 consists of Arizona State, Stanford, Texas A&M, Texas, Nebraska, North Carolina, Duke, Mississippi State, Princeton and Iowa. Stanford and Texas A&M are tied for 12th.

Georgia, Rutgers, Syracuse, Oklahoma and Chattanooga are the last five teams ranked. Oklahoma and Chattanooga are this week's newcomers. It's the Lady Mocs' first appearance in the poll since 1984.

Minnesota and Western Kentucky dropped out of this week's poll.
