Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres have suspended defenseman Nikita Zadorov for failing to report to the team on time following the NHL All-Star break.

Sabres general manager Tim Murray said that he expects Zadorov, who missed Monday's practice, to join the club during its upcoming road trip through western Canada.

The Sabres also recalled goaltender Matt Hackett from Rochester of the American Hockey League to replace Michal Neuvirth, who Murray said will "miss some time" with a lower-body injury that he suffered while working out during the break.
