Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jason Brown won the U.S. men's short program on Friday night, potentially setting him up for his first national title.

The 20-year-old Brown posted a career-best 93.36 points and he leads Joshua Farris by 2.96 points.

Four-time U.S. champion Jeremy Abbott was third with 89.93 points, while Max Aaron and Adam Rippon rounded out the top five.

Brown was the runner-up last year to Abbott.
