Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Just two days after it was announced he would be having surgery on his injured thumb, Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards.

Aldridge was injured in Monday's win over the Sacramento Kings in a collision with center DeMarcus Cousins. An MRI revealed he had a torn radial collateral ligament in his left thumb, but he decided to hold off on the surgery.

It was expected that Aldridge would miss 6-8 weeks following surgery.

Aldridge leads the first-place Trail Blazers with 23.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. While he was not voted in as a starter, he could still be selected for his fourth straight All-Star game.
