New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans announced Wednesday that point guard Jrue Holiday is expected to miss 2-4 weeks due to a stress reaction in his lower right leg.
The 2013 All-Star left the Pelicans' Jan. 12 game at Boston with the injury and has missed their last four contests. After being listed as day-to- day with ankle inflammation for a week, additional tests performed Tuesday revealed the severity of the injury.
Holiday will not participate in any basketball activities until his symptoms improve.
In 37 games this season, Holiday is averaging 15.2 points, 7.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals. He played in just 34 games last season for New Orleans due to a broken right ankle.
