Florence, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic has signed a new contract with the club that ties him to the Viola until June 2019.

The 24-year-old's previous deal expired at the end of next season, but Fiorentina has moved to lock up his future with clubs like Juventus and AC Milan showing interest.

Savic moved to Fiorentina in August 2012 from Manchester City in a deal that saw Matija Nastasic head in the opposite direction.

After failing to establish himself in City's first team, Savic has thrived since arriving in Florence, making 86 appearances for the club.

Since his debut with Montenegro in 2010, Savic has been capped 29 times on the international level.
