Hobart, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - Brit Heather Watson reached the final of the Hobart International tennis event with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over eighth- seeded American Alison Riske in the semifinals on Friday.
The match was interrupted by rain on multiple occasions, the last with Watson serving on match point at 5-4. Once play resumed, Watson double-faulted and Riske eventually broke to level the second set .
Watson finished the job in her next service game after earning a break.
The 22-year-old Watson reached her second WTA final after capturing the Osaka title in 2012. She will play American qualifier Madison Brengle.
Brengle fought past Japan's Kurumi Nara 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.
