Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers will have to do without the services of defenseman Nicklas Grossman for the next three weeks.

Grossmann suffered what the team called an upper-body injury in the first period of Thursday's 3-2 overtime win against Washington, when checked from behind into the end boards by Caps forward Tom Wilson. He did not return to the contest.

The lumbering 29-year-old Swede participated in all but one of Philly's 41 games this season, collecting three goals and eight points and amassing 53 blocked shots -- second-best on the club.
