Another day, another flyover at New York Jets practice.
This time, though, it was the team piloting an aircraft with a message.
A day after an unidentified "frustrated fan" hired a plane with a "Fire John Idzik" banner that circled the team's practice facility for 20 minutes, the Jets sent up a toy helicopter at the beginning of practice Thursday with a small banner that read: "Go Jets."
The team was practicing indoors because of rain, but a Jets video staffer flew the foot-long helicopter by radio control for a few minutes — in front of media and smiling players — before carrying it off the field.
Fed up with the team's 1-8 start, a female fan hired the plane Wednesday to urge the Jets to fire their general manager.
