Tennessee's Jake Locker practiced on Wednesday but his status for this weekend's game against Houston remains unclear.
Locker left practice without stopping for his weekly meeting with the media. Coach Ken Whisenhunt says the quarterback didn't take questions because the Titans will know more about his status Thursday.
Whisenhunt says Locker participated in a "good part" of practice, though the quarterback was listed as limited in the session. Locker has missed two straight games with an injured right thumb, and Whisenhunt says he doesn't want Locker's thumb to flare up Thursday and be an issue.
Locker wasn't the only quarterback who didn't talk to reporters. Charlie Whitehurst, who has started three of the last four games, also wasn't available.
The Titans (2-5) host Houston (3-4) on Sunday.
