Niners coach speaks out after player arrest, says team will not tolerate domestic violence

San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has reiterated that the team will not tolerate domestic violence.

Harbaugh gave stern comments about the topic Tuesday during his radio show on KNBR-AM, two days after 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald was arrested on felony domestic violence charges.

While Harbaugh cautions any rush to judgment regarding McDonald's arrest, he maintains a firm stance that he's strongly opposed to physical abuse of women and children, saying there's no tolerance for that.

Harbaugh also said he would not allow any player who was found guilty of domestic violence on his team.

McDonald is out on $25,000 bail following his arrest in San Jose early Sunday. Police say they plan to provide more details Tuesday.

McDonald's arrest came after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced tougher penalties for players accused of domestic violence.
