(SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Braves right-hander Ervin Santana rides a personal seven-game unbeaten streak into tonight's game against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.

Santana, who is 6-0 in that span, earned the victory at Pittsburgh on Monday despite allowing nine hits and three runs in 5 1/3 innings. His last loss came July 9 on the road versus the Mets. A win this evening would match his career- best. He also won seven consecutive decisions when he pitched for the Angels in 2006.

Santana's lone start against the Reds resulted in a win on April 25 at Turner Field in a 5-4 final.

Mike Leake tries to avoid losing a third consecutive decision when he counters for the Reds. Leake didn't get a decision at St. Louis on Monday after surrendering eight hits and four runs across seven frames, a game the Reds lost 6-5 in 10 innings.

In five career starts against the Braves, Leake is 2-2 with a 2.91 ERA.

Last night, Justin Upton hit a two-run homer in the 12th inning to lift the Braves to a 3-1 win. Upton's upper-deck shot off Manny Parra (0-1) came long after Braves starter Mike Minor carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning that was broken up by Billy Hamilton's game-tying RBI single with two outs.

"I was just looking for a good pitch to hit," said Upton. "Off the bat, I knew I got it pretty good."

Upton was 3-for-6, extending his hitting streak to 13 games. The Braves, who won the opener of the four-game series 8-0 on Thursday, have held the Reds to six runs in their five meetings this season (5-0).

"We didn't do much offensively," Reds manager Bryan Price said.

Hamilton had both of Cincinnati's hits as the slumping Reds matched a season- high with their seventh straight loss. They are 1-10 in their last 11.
